Two Birds Brewing is Australia’s first female owned and operated craft brewery.
The two birds, Jayne and Danielle launched the company in 2011 with 2 core beers, Golden and Sunset. Since that time Two Birds has expanded to 4 core beers, a seasonal range and a multiplicity of wacky and inspirational specialty beers that are released throughout the year.
After a very successful number of foundation years Two Birds were looking for a label re-design that more reflected their journey and the adventures that they had a long the way. We had worked with them in creating the label for the ground-breaking “Taco” and they came to us looking for a new direction that really spoke about who they are.
The idea drew from the basis of the Taco label which was to tell the story of each beer through illustrations and colour reflecting the vision, and the journey, Two Birds had when creating each of their core range beers.
Through careful research ( admittedly sometimes fueled by the product) and close communication with both Jayne and Danielle, we created a set of custom illustrations for the labels that spoke of the flavour notes of each beer and told the story of their creation.
Each design has been carefully woven together on the 4 and 6 pack wraps, so that when they are positioned side by side, a full artwork is revealed representing the Two Birds journey from 2011 to 2017.
The result is a colourful, fresh, on-category look and feel for the core beers which represents what Two Birds Brewing has been trying to achieve for their beers for some time.
Designed with their fanbase in mind, as well as potential new craft beer aficionados.
“Two Birds has had a long relationship with the Litterini+Clark team and they always deliver on-time and on-brief. They have grown with our business, from short run tap designs through to creating the Taco brand and packaging. We always feel in safe hands when working together, and we know their ideas will be amazing!”
