			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Big Cake Bake was in its second year and Red Cross asked us to update the logo to a more approachable, on brand look. We met with The Red Cross at their Sydney office and discussed the demographics, the target context and what would work within their current branding. Incorporating graphic design elements that related directly to the brand and the target. We slightly re-engineered the font and retained the look in the “big” and the “bake”. The logo design we were looking for was something that was more relaxed, approachable, and soft. <p>The Australian Screen Editors Guild approached us with a brief to re-design their website, to create a more appealing visual medium for their work, and to overhaul their memberships system and online payments.</p>
<p><strong>Solution</strong></p>
<p>We designed and built a highly complex site which included membership module, with varying levels and and premium content protection for each level of membership. An integratde e-commerce solution handles membership payments. The site also features h a forum and a place to post job openings, with the membership system linked to Mailchimp</p>
<p>The site has a number of modules that allow the ASE to update it easily and keep members informed including news and events section which updates the members with film dates and official engagements.  The site was designed and developed for it usability and adaption utlising open source code.</p>

<p>We researched the associated industries and concentrated on relating the benefits of the product through the brand name and the graphic design. We utilised a mechanistic  modernistic font that communicated the roots of the engineering and strength of the product, that was coupled to a a vibrant uplifting piece of iconograhpy with highlights in foil and fly yellow.</p>

<p>We were asked to create a new identity for Rose River Beverages HARD Ice Tea while still maintaining a connection to the established Rose River Ginger Beers. The category is strong in the USA, but virtually unknown to the Australian market and it had to be brash and tell people that it was different from all other alcoholic beverages currently available.</p>
<p><strong>Solution</strong></p>
<p>We borrowed graphic design elements of the existing ginger beer labels and developed the &#8216;HARD&#8217; typographic lock-up. We also incorporated graphic design devices reminiscent of tea to reinforce the refreshing, main component to the drink.</p>

<p>BuildPay is a the leader in building payment systems in Australia. We were tasked with creating the graphic design and  logo that was forward looking but reflected the nature of the business in a clean modern way.</p>
<p><strong>Solution</strong></p>
<p>The acronym for BuildPay has been used over and over again. We looked at it differently by taking the elements, de-constructing them, then merging them into cohesive form. Encompassing the logo in familiar graphic design  &#8217;shield&#8217; shape reinforces the secure nature of their product.</p>

<p>Anyway &#8211; the exciting news. We have moved office. We have been looking for quite some time for something that would fit us well. After checking out many offices, Litterini+Clark has found a new home at Studio 506, 55 Holt Street, Surry Hills. It is a short move from where we were on Foveaux St but this larger office has a balcony!</p>
<p>Ok, off to have a sit on the balcony now!</p>

<p>We had been approached by Parks Australia to participate in a paid pitch to design the new Parks Australia website. Being one of 5 companies asked we were pretty chuffed. We missed the job by a small margin. Parks Australia manages some of Australia&#8217;s most iconic national parks and botanic gardens and they were after an emotional design focused on the experiential traveller.</p>
<p><strong>Solution</strong></p>
<p>We looked at a lot of tourism websites, some amazing ones, some terrible ones. But the ones that stuck in our mind were always graphically engaging with a simple, clear UX and architecture. Marrying the emotion with logical UX was the challenge. We based the web design on a familiar grid elements with deep scrolling pages giving access to relevant information on the current page and using more real estate than just above the line.</p>

<p>In 2012, Accor Hotels announced intention to consolidate their different economy hotel brands under the single banner of ibis, however, still maintaining some brand individuality by creating three sub brands, ibis (formerly Ibis Hotels), ibis <em>budget</em> (formerly Formule 1) and ibis Styles (formerly all seasons). The Australian marketing services team required assistance from a design studio who could deliver the majority of print and some digital design needs for the 59 economy properties across their Australian network.</p>
<p><strong>Solution</strong></p>
<p>As Accor&#8217;s chosen design studio for economy hotels, it was our responsibility to study and understand the new corporate and visual identities for all three ibis sub brands based on stringent and tight guidelines as provided by Accor headquarters in Paris. Together with these guidelines and some photographic assets as provided by HQ, Litterini+Clark set out to delivery all collateral required by the 17 ibis <em>budget</em> hotels, not only for projects spanning all hotels but also individual projects for individual properties, as required.</p>

<p>We were approached to assist in creating and developing a simple, clean website that clearly communicated the historic coming together of cross party members of State Parliament to campaign for marriage equality in NSW.</p>

<p>Greenfields Horticulture came to us seeking a strong, corporate identity they could use to reinforce their presence in landscaping and grounds maintenance.</p>
<p><strong>Solution</strong></p>
<p>We stuck to traditional colours but took a fresh, modern approach. We created a strong visual element by just using stylized  &#8216;G&#8217; to give a sense of strength and reliability and a connection to the brand name. We embedded it in a background of lush, fulsome leaves which grow from behind the &#8216;G&#8217;, surrounding it and serving as a flexible visual device to extrapolate across stationery. We included simple typography to compliment the detailed &#8216;G&#8217; emblem and growing leaves.</p>

<p>Summertime was a great name but had a very dated brand and they asked us to work with them for a total re-brand of their broad range of beverages and other products.</p>
<p>They wanted something to reflect their expanding range of goods, their positioning in the market as not just a brand but a 100% Australian owned and manufactured one.</p>
<p><strong>Solution</strong></p>
<p>We took the approach that the products within represented the freshness of the classic roadside country farmers stalls with all the inherent honesty and integrity engendered within the typical naive signage. The graphic design required a a good deal of research and product testing to formulate the character</p>
<p>We wanted to created a look and a graphics design that would work across the range and immediately communicate the brand values. We deconstructed the logo and took it to a hand drawn font that gives the impression of an idea rather than spelling it out.</p>

<p><strong>Yes that&#8217;s right 1 Billion</strong> on a political campaign, the result of all their spending was a poor showing, and a loss.</p>
<p>Carl Rove was behind much of the Republicans spend and a large part of the spend was focused on traditional channels, mainly television. They ran some 82,000 ads over the period, over a year that&#8217;s 1500 ads a week.</p>
<p>Donald Trump posted a message on Twitter saying: <em>&#8220;Congrats to @KarlRove on blowing $400 million this cycle. Every race @CrossroadsGPS ran ads in, the Republicans lost. What a waste of money.&#8221;</em></p>
<p>Don&#8217;t get me wrong the other side probably spent as much &#8211; disgraceful on both counts &#8211; but they spent it smarter and the brand they had was more believable. They accessed other channels and connected directly with people and built relationships.</p>
<p>It doesn&#8217;t matter how much money you throw at a bad idea, it has to believable to be successful.</p>
